Maintenance Agreement Terms & Definitions
Up to 56-Point Tune-Up
Maintenance Agreement customers get a more detailed tune-up (56 pt) than a non-MA customer (21 pt). We mention "up to" because the tune-up depends on the unit type. Certain types of systems require a certain type of maintenance.
Never a Premium Charge
Maintenance agreement customers are never charged overtime or a diagnostic fee. The only free they are charged is for after-hours.
When CSR identifies a call as requiring an emergency dispatch fee, the fee of $79.95 for non-maintenance agreement customers is $39.95 for current Maintenance agreement customers. This will be indicated on the tech's job instructions.
Comfort Guarantee (Hotel Stay)
If the company can't respond to a demand call in 24 business hours or it takes time to replace their system, we will reimburse the customer for a hotel stay of up to $100 a night for up to 2 nights.
Extend Equipment Life
Regular maintenance of a system extends the life expectancy of the system.
Up to 25% Discount on Repairs
Maintenance Agreement customers receive discounts on repairs. This discount is also honored when the customer purchases a Maintenance Agreement with the repair. If the maintenance agreement is purchased during repair, the customer will receive an 11% discount. A 25% discount for repairs performed during a maintenance visit will be applied.
Up to 10% Discount On New Equipment Purchases
Maintenance Agreement customers receive discounts for new equipment.
24-Hour Response Time
If the customer calls during work hours for a demand call, we will run the call that day; if the customer calls after hours, we will run the call the following day. If we can't, we will honor the comfort guarantee.
Maximize Energy Efficiency
Regular maintenance of a system allows the system to run more efficiently.
Two Maintenance / Safety Inspections Per Year
Maintenance agreement: customers receive two maintenance visits per year. Note: Once the maintenance agreement expires, all benefits expire except for the maintenance visit, and we will honor the maintenance visits.
Priority Service
When a maintenance agreement customer calls as a demand call, they will be put at the top of the list to be serviced.
Written Maintenance Report
With every maintenance visit, the customer receives a written report, which is the 56-point tune-up checklist, showing what the tech did on the visit for their system.
Periodic Specials and Promotions
Customers will be contacted when specials and promotions are offered.
Fully Transferable
The company will honor the customer who is moving to either transfer their maintenance contract to their new home or leave it for the new homeowner.
Multi-Year / Unit Discount
Customers will receive a discount for purchasing a maintenance agreement for multiple systems or years.
Extended Warranty on Repairs
For any repairs purchased with a maintenance agreement, the warranty of the repaired part will extend for up to a year of maintenance purchased. Example: Out-of-box warranty for a component being repaired is 90 days, and the customer purchases a 2-year maintenance agreement with the repair; the warranty for that part will extend from 90 days to 2 years.
